The following is a partial list of the artists they cover: Ed Sheeran, Chris Stapleton, Cyndi Lauper, Al Green, Allman Brothers, Gov’t Mule, Prince, Greg Kihn, Jefferson Airplane, Kenny Chesney, Thomas Rhett, WAR, Derek & The Dominos, Lynryd Skynyrd, Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Johnny Cash, Nine Inch Nails, Neil Young, INXS, Metallica, Savage Garden, Leonard Cohen, Jimi Hendrix, Guns N’ Roses, Wilson Pickett and many more!

The name of the band comes from a wonderful Registerd Nurse, Irene Maki, who Dan worked with years ago at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Duluth. Upon initial introduction Irene stated; “Oh, don’t call me Irene, everyone calls me Maki!” And so the nickname Maki was affectionately incorporated into MYNX band vernacular where every band member’s adopted last name became “Maki”. Fast forward some 25 years later… The guys are attempting to bridge the old with the new by choosing Mackie Brothers as the name for their new musical adventure. Though Irene has left this earth, her playful spirit lives on through the music they create.
